The IAB was formed in 1973 by the Council of the Institute of Administrative Accountants (IAA). This was done to retain links with its bookkeeping history dating back to 1916.

Comprised of four distinguished bodies—The Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers (IAB), the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the International Association of Accounting Professionals (IAAP), and the Professional Development Institute (PDI)—the IAB Group ensures that education is accessible, industry-aligned, and forward-thinking.

The International Association of Accounting Professionals, IAAP
